Market Target – Financial Institutions:
The United States Federal Government has identified financial institutions as one of
the United States 14 critical infrastructures - “…those physical and cyber-based
systems so vital to the operations of the United States that their incapacity or
destruction would have a debilitating impact on national defense, economic security,
or public safety.” These financial institutions are of the highest targets for criminal
activities, terrorist assault, and international espionage. Any compromise of the
ability of these financial institutions to function would have very serious
consequences for the United States. The same institutions also have the risk of
brand damage, civil liabilities, and criminal charges for any failure to protect their
information and operations.
PGC has the inherent domain expertise, the most experience, the strongest
relationships, and on-going marketing and sales efforts within the financial
infrastructure market. It will be PGC’s initial strategic plan to concentrate on the
specific risk needs for financial institutions in the United States. PGC’s research and
analysis has also demonstrated that these institutions understand the “converged”
risk solution that PGC offers. Additionally,
PGC has concluded that the executive leadership for these financial institutions
favors the PGC model, has already allocated resources for risk mitigation programs,
and have made these risk management programs a corporate priority. Therefore,
PGC believes that the financial institutions are near-term opportunities of high
margins.
